SeaPort-e Contract Certification

In June 2006, Williams-Pyro gained the status of being a prime contractor under the Navy's SeaPort-e program. The award has a three-year base period with one five-year award term and one additional two-year award term.

SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle created by NAVSEA to facilitate the electronic, web-based procurement of engineering, technical, and programmatic support services. The vision is to provide a more efficient and effective means through which to procure high-quality services at reasonable prices, while facilitating performance-based contracting.

SeaPort-e is used to procure services through all phases of the ship and weapon system life cycle—technology development, concept exploration, design, specification, development, construction/production, test and evaluation, certification, operation, maintenance, improvement/modernization, overhaul and refueling, and salvage and disposal.

The SeaPort-e comprises seven regional zones in which task orders will be completed based on the principal place of performance. The awards contain provisions to set aside requirements for small businesses. SeaPort-e has expanded to include all of Virtual SYSCOM (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVSUP, and SPAWAR), its related Program Executive Offices and field affiliates, as well as the Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and the United States Marine Corps.
